Doing some live Halloween blogging while we hand out candy. We are having a nice homebound Halloween. We put up some more decorations and carved our pumpkins this afternoon.
Stephanie is putting mustaches on everything. And poor Dracula is suffering through yet another indignity at my hands.
The first time I met Dracula, he was forced to wear rabbit ears, and they stayed there for a few years.
Then I set him up as our bathroom attendant once he got to Portland. I'm surprised he still talks to me. (He doesn't talk to me.)
We've been watching scary movies all day. I burned some pumpkin seeds earlier, and broke down and had a Kit Kat bar. It was delicious.
Later, after the trick or treaters are done, we are going to wander over to the Davis Graveyard - a private home just down the street whose Halloween display puts our decorations to shame.
So far, we've handed out candy to a tiny Buzz Lightyear, a ninja, a Princess Leia (homemade costume, and escorted by an adult in full Darth Vader gear), and a few other general ghosts and ghouls.
